Leading Psychiatric Thought Since 1946
The GAP Fellowship
Rupinder K. Legha, M.D.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and attended Duke University, where I majored in History and minored in Spanish Literature. After graduating from Duke, I spent a year teaching English in South Korea as a Fulbright Scholar. I matriculated at Harvard Medical School and am currently an adult psychiatry resident at the University of Colorado. I am very interested in cross-cultural psychiatry, a product of my own experience as a second-generation American and as the daughter of Punjabi Sikh immigrants. The humanities' contribution to our understanding of medicine and psychiatry is another area of interest. I'm delighted to be working with the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry.
