The group has recently authored books on stalking, legal cases which have changed the practice of mental health treatment, and family violence and murder. The group is currently working on an issue of Focus that will have as a theme liability issues for psychiatrists.

Jacob M. Appel MD JD is Director of Ethics Education in Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine and an emergency room psychiatrist in the Mount Sinai Health System. His latest book is a compendium of ethical conundrums, Who Says You're Dead?

Jacqueline Landess, MD, JD is a forensic psychiatrist and holds appointments at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Her scholarly and research interests include correctional psychiatry, re-entry and diversion programs, the juvenile justice system and constitutional law.
